Back in July id Software announced they had scrapped the idea of an Invasion game mode. In the announcement they revealed they were working on a horde mode instead. The Doom Eternal Horde Mode will be launching on October 26th.
The Horde Mode is launching with the fittingly named 6.66 update and will be similar to Horde Modes in different games, such as the one in the Gears of War series. Players will be fighting back waves of enemies with a Doom Eternal twist.
