The Age of Empires series will be available via GeForce Now this month

Nvidia announced a new batch of games that will be available for their cloud gaming platform. Among these is the entire Age of Empires series. This includes:

  • Age of Empires: Definitive Edition
  • Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition
  • Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition
  • Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition

This means Age of Empires 1, Age of Empires 3 and Age of Empires 4 will be playable from the cloud for the first time. These are not available via Microsoft’s own cloud gaming platform. This is due the fact Microsoft’s cloud streaming platform is based on Xbox hardware. Only Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is available for Xbox consoles at this moment. With Age of Empires IV releasing on Xbox later this year.

Back in May Nvidia added other Microsoft to GeForce Now: Gears 5, Deathloop, Grounded and Pentiment.

You can read about everything Nvidia have added to their cloud platform in their latest blog post.
