Check out this Persona 5 Royal gameplay running at 60 FPS on an Xbox Series X

The Persona series is finally making its way to Xbox starting with Persona 5 Royal on October 21st. The announcement was made in June which will bring the game and two other entries in the series to the Xbox platform and into Game Pass.

New gameplay footage has been released on YouTube by “Faz” who shows the game running on an Xbox Series X at 60 FPS. You can clearly see the Xbox button prompts in game which is an odd sight to see as the game has been a Playstation console exclusive for so long.

Persona releasing on Xbox is a huge milestone for the Redmond based team as it aims to add more Japanese games to the platform. The series is one of the most popular in the JRPG genre and has been long sought after by Xbox fans.

Discussion:

  1. Good things come to those who wait. I do feel really bad for the people who already bought Royal and don’t get an upgrade or even a save transfer, though. Getting the upgraded version with all the DLC included, and possibly a cloud streaming license is just chef’s kiss.

    Can’t wait.

Seeing Xbox buttons in that gameplay is kind of wild.

I can see many new players getting into that franchise with the help of GP, just like with Yakuza.

  3. Absolutely! With Game Pass and Switch, I see Persona getting a good deal bigger!

Cool, cool. Now bring over the SMT series. Or at least 3 and 5.
