Forza Horizon 5 was the standout Xbox launch of 2021 and Playground Games are known for quality Expansion packs to their flagship racing titles with Forza Horizon 4 receiving the Fortune Island and Lego Speed Champions sets.
It is no surprise then in the run up to E3 that an announcement of a new expansion for the open world racer is imminent. It appears that we are set for a return to the play ground (sorry) of the world of Hot Wheels, last visited in an expansion for Forza Horizon 3.
In a classic case of a jump start, the Steam Store briefly released details of the expansion, seemingly revealing that the Expansion will indeed by Mattel’s Hot Wheels, with the signature die cast miniatures returning to the streets of Forza Horizon. Of course since then the Steam Store has been wiped of this. A link to the archive is available here:
Now of course this may be misdirection (we doubt it!) but it looks like we have one of the first Xbox leaks before their Xbox and Bethesda Games Show begins on Sunday 12th June.
No no please no! This was the only expansion I haven’t liked. Why repeat themselves? Hopefully this is a good go throw us off.
