The Xbox Series S and X have sold at least one million units in the UK following a strong December, according to gamesindustry.biz.
The console pairing enjoyed a strong month, a “108% increase in sales month-on-month”, and was the best the consoles have sold in the country since its launch in November 2020.
Recent reports suggest the console is thriving globally as well. Phil Spencer noted in a New York Times podcast that the Series S and X have outpaced previous generations of consoles.
While no official sales figures have been given to this point, industry analyst Daniel Ahmad estimates that the pairing of next gen Xbox consoles have surpassed 12 million units shipped.
Xbox is thriving in ways we have not seen since the 360 generation. A desirable console pairing, a stellar lineup of exclusives, and ridiculous value of Game Pass has set the Redmond based company up for a generation full of success.
