More changes are happening inside Xbox, and this time, the announcement was made on LinkedIn. Alan Hartman, who previously held the position of Corporate VP of Forza and Fable, has been promoted to Head of Xbox Game Studios. Hartman has been at Microsoft since 2005 and is the long-term head of the Forza series and, most recently, a leader for the rebooted Fable game.
This change happens just a few weeks after it was announced that the previous head of Xbox Game Studios Matt Booty was promoted to “President of Game Studios and Content.”
A lot of change is happening within Microsoft’s gaming division as the company has continuously grown over the last few years. We expect further changes in the coming months, including Activision-Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick’s departure in early 2024.
