The CMA has issued a preliminary approval of the Activision-Blizzard deal, moving the acquisition one step closer to completion

We may finally be nearing the conclusion of the near 2 year acquisition of Activision-Blizzard-King by Microsoft. The CMA reported today that they had given preliminary approval of the deal based on remedies by Microsoft to address concerns over Cloud Gaming.

The CMA is the last major road block towards acquisition completion, and the deal is currently looking on track to be completed prior to Microsoft’s October 18th deadline barring any major changes.
