Yes, it is happening. Today Bethesda Game Studios revealed Starfield has gone gold. Starfield preloads will be available tomorrow for people on Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10/11.

For players on Steam the wait will be a little while longer. Preloads on Steam will be available in two weeks on August 30th.
