Despite the roadblock set by the CMA in the UK, the European Commission is expected to approve of Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Reuters reported that insider sources familiar with the matter claim that an announcement of their approval will be made by May 15th. While the future of the merger is still up in the air due to filing an appeal with the CMA, it still shows that Microsoft is fully committed to making the acquisition happen.
