The official Halo Twitter account put out a short message from studio head Pierre Hintze saying that 343 will continue to make Halo “now and in the future, including epic stories, multiplayer, and more of what makes Halo great”.

This message comes after recent layoffs at Microsoft which cost dozens of 343 employees their jobs, as well as rumors that the series would be licensed off to other studios. This statement, while short, does give some clarity that 343 will continue to develop Halo for the foreseeable future.
