Announced at yesterday’s ROG Maxed Out event, ASUS has announced the Raikiri controller—the first Xbox-certified controller to feature an OLED display that is customisable to your preference. The device has two models, the Pro and regular and the latter will feature additional rear buttons as well as additional connection types. Multiple trigger types, a built-in ESS DAC (think larger dynamic range for sounds), and a large array of customisation in the ROG software for PC is available for all models.
On paper, it’s a compelling alternative to Microsoft’s Elite controller series, even if it has the unfortunate downside of being wired-only for Xbox consoles. More information on pricing and availability will come later this year. More information on the event can be found below and the controller’s technical specifications can be found here.
