Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners Update Released. New Expansion Announced.

It’s been almost two years since Cyberpunk 2077‘s release, and we’ve finally being teased with a taste of the long-awaited expansion for the game. Titled Phantom Liberty, the latest Night City Wire showed off new dialogue, also revealing that Keanu Reeves is returning as Johnny Silverhand, as well as some new areas that will take place in a new district. The expansion will only release on current gen consoles like the Xbox Series X|S, and will be releasing sometime in 2023.

The new general update for the game, titled the Edgerunners Update, has been released today featuring numerous quality of life changes and additions, along with the usual bug fixes. It’s also been revealed that the 1.6 update for Cyberpunk 2077 will be the last major content update for last gen consoles. However there still will be smaller, performance and stability related patches released for the good old Xbox One. The update includes new content such as:

  • A new mini-game in the arcade called Roach Race.
  • New outfits.
  • A new transmog-like feature called Wardrobe.
  • New Gigs.
  • New Photo-Mode Additions.
  • New Weapons.
  • 60 FPS Performance Mode for Xbox Series S.
  • Cross-progression between consoles and PC.
  • REDmod for PC users.
