Xbox has a ton of studios working on exclusive content, but have been unable to find a steady release cadence as teams have dealt with pandemic related issues and delays. While these issues will likely persist into the future, Xbox has seemingly figured out a few things and are promising at least 5 new games over the next fiscal year.
In a press release that was relayed by Windows Central, Xbox explained their plans, saying “last fiscal we launched 5 new games across console, PC, and cloud. We are on track to meet or exceed that amount in the next fiscal.”
Microsoft’s fiscal calendar runs from July 1st to June 30th of every year, meaning Xbox is planning to release 5 or more games from now until June 30th of next year.

A few obvious candidates are the recently delayed Starfield and Redfall. Forza Motorsport is a game that is rumored to release later this year, Obsidian’s Avowed and Pentiment are also rumored to be releasing over the next year.
There are other games that could reasonably release before next fiscal ends, and Xbox’s big event on June 12th seems like the date we will finally know what to expect from Xbox over the coming few years.
