Sea of Thieves players have noticed the timer counting down till the next season was changed all of a sudden. While Season 7 was set to launch in June 2022, an additional 5 weeks have been added to the timer. This means the seventh season of Sea of Thieves will now launch at the end of July.

The Rare team has confirmed this change on their Discord server:

Meanwhile, season 6 of Sea of Thieves hasn’t finished yet. Last week Rare launched a new Sea of Thieves Adventure. It’s called Lost Sands and let’s players choose between two factions. On one side you’ve got the Reaper’s Bones set to keep the Golden Sands Outpost destroyed, while the faction under leadership of Merrick wants to restore Golden Sands Outpost to its former glory.
