Earlier today, Bungie, the creators of Destiny and Halo, released a new recruitment video in a series of similar shorts to encourage people to help them build amazing new worlds. In this video, Luke Timmins, Engineering Director at Bungie, talks about how much passion and a person’s ability to create and discuss the process of creation goes into talent scouting for the recently Sony-acquired studio.

This is old hat for long time Bungie fans, however, there is something interesting to be found. Towards the end of the video, two pieces of concept art for an unannounced title are shown off while Timmins explains his excitement for not only the continued development of Destiny, but also how tantalizing their new stuff could be if only he could show it to people. That the new projects in the early stages of development are more than enough to encourage anyone who is interested in working on games to apply.

These images may likely be from the trademarked “Matter” that Bungie trademarked all the way back in 2018 which is toted as sporting more “whimsical” characters and designs. Originally reported by IGN, Pete Parsons had stated that they hoped to release their next big game by 2025. With Bungie finally beginning to drop concept art for whatever their new game will be, perhaps it will be sooner rather than later before we all get to start asking “When is Matter” rather than “What is Matter.”
