Bethesda is retiring the Bethesda launcher and moving to Steam in April

Today Bethesda has announced they’ll be shutting down the Bethesda Launcher on PC this year. After the acquisition by Microsoft it was already rumoured Bethesda would stop supporting the launcher on PC, but now it has been made official.

Players can migrate their current Bethesda Launcher library to their Steam account, this includes their games and Wallet. For many games the saves will also be migrated, though some might need a manual transfer.

The migration of the Bethesda Launcher to Steam will start in April and players will have over a month to transfer their data. A lengthy Q&A has been added to their press release, with some specific answers for Fallout 76 players. You can read the press release with the Q&A here.
