The Elder Scrolls Online: Legacy of the Bretons brings players to an entirely new region and will launch June 2022

At the Elder Scrolls Online 2022 Global Reveal event today ZeniMax Online Studios revealed what’s next for The Elder Scrolls Online. In 2022 players will be visiting an entirely new world – never before experienced in any The Elder Scrolls game – the Systres Archipelago. In June the big narrative chapter of this annual event will take place. It’s called High Isle and will include political intrigue. On Xbox Wire Dominic Davies, Lead Content Manager at ZeniMax Online Studios summarizes High Isle like this:

The High Isle chapter will take you a brand-new location in the Elder Scrolls series: the Systres Archipelago, where you’ll have an opportunity to venture into the regions of High Isle and Amenos. There, you can experience the bountiful tropical atoll surrounded by stunning white cliffs that makes up the ancient home of the Breton elite.

On High Isle and Amenos, you’ll have an opportunity to immerse yourselves in the chivalric Breton society and uncover the hidden histories and lore of this proud martial people. Throughout your adventures you must also investigate the emergence of a sinister new organization, the Ascendant Order, that threatens to condemn all of Tamriel to unending war.

ZeniMax Online Studios also revealed The Elder Scrolls Online has had over 20 million players. The last milestone revealed by the studio was 18 million players back in March of 2021.

The Elder Scrolls: High Isle launches on June 21.

  2. Looks good, still disappointed that they haven’t added crossplay/cross progression

  3. Avatar for CryOn CryOn says:
    • 2 new companions
    • (almost) account-wide in-game achievements/titles
    • a new assistant for deconstruction
    • pair mounts
    • a card game with ranking system
    • more incentive to play PvP

I’m not hyped at all. It’s been 3 years since the last new class, PvP is broken for 2 years and the companion system is underwhelming.

The only truly new feature is the card game. If it’s like Gwent in Witcher 3, this could be amazing.
