STALKER 2 was supposed to launch this April after being revealed last E3, but developer GSC Game World announced today that the game would be delayed until December 8th.
On Twitter, GSC says that “these additional seven months of development are needed to fulfill our vision and achieve the desired state of the game”.

STALKER 2 is a timed exclusive for next gen Xbox consoles and a day one Game Pass game. This delay means Xbox’s first half slate gets a little weaker, while their second half of the year grows stronger with games like Redfall and Starfield expected to release during that time frame.
