Microsoft is working with Tencent’s TiMi Studios to adapt Age of Empires to smartphones for China

Microsoft and Tencent are working together on bringing the Age of Empires franchise to China with a mobile title. This news was revealed by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad, beter known as ZhugeEX. Microsoft has been working on bringing the Age of Empires franchise back to live in the past few years. The first three games in the Age of Empires franchise have received definitive edition, while a brand new game – Age of Empires IV – is set to release in October.

Now Microsoft is working with Tencent’s TiMi Studios Group on a mobile version of Age of Empires. The game is set to release in China under the title ‘Return to Empire’
