The Cyberpunk twin stick shooter meets action RPG The Ascent has made over 5 million dollars in the opening weekend. The Xbox and PC title also topped the Steam global charts, while being available on Xbox Game Pass for both console and PC.
For publisher Curve Digital it was the highest grossing opening weekend for a game ever, citing the triple A level of coverage by media and influencers as one of the reasons of its success. The Ascent has been positioned by Microsoft as one of the highlights of this summer as the title is part of Xbox Game Pass.
