The Outer Worlds has sold over 4 million copies since launch

At the Take Two Interactive quarterly results report, the company behind the Private Division publishing label has revealed The Outer Worlds has sold over a million copies since its launch in 2019. This means the game is still selling well, though it has seen some discounts in the past few months. The sequel for The Outer Worlds will be published by Xbox Game Studios, as Microsoft owns the publishing rights for the sequel. The Outer Worlds 2 was announced at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase during E3 2021.

At the quarterly report call, Take Two also showed a slide for the Private Division. This slide mentions the new game by Moon Studios, who’ve been working on an ARPG for the past few years which will be published by Private Division. Moon Studios is known for their work on the Ori games.
