Invasion mode for Doom Eternal cancelled, a Horde mode announced

Today id Software shared a development update via their Twitter account. The executive producer at id Software, Marty Stratton, reveals the announced Invasion Mode has been cancelled. Instead of an invasion mode, the game will now receive a single-player horde mode. Besides this, id Software will also rework the BATTLEMODE with a new map, a new competitive, rank-based structure and other updates. id Software will reveal more information on everthing DOOM Eternal at QuakeCon 2021 which is happening August 19-21.
