The showrunner for the Paramount+ Halo TV series is leaving the project after season 1

In an exclusive report Variety has learned that Halo showrunner Steven Kane will be leaving the production of the series when post production for the first season is finished. If Halo returns for a second season on Paramount+, which is now airing the series instead of Showtime, then Kane will not work on it. Variety writes:

Kane has been in Budapest now for the past two years and wishes to return stateside for personal reasons.

A few weeks ago the some stills from a trailer leaked. This sparked rumours that a trailer would be shown at E3, but this didn’t happen. The Halo series on Paramount+ is set to debut in the first quarter of 2022.
