Remedy is almost done with their work on CrossfireX

In Remedy Entertainment’s recent business review report the Finnish developer has confirmed they are rounding up their work on Crossfire X. The first person shooter from Smilegate Entertainment will have a single player campaign made by the team responsible for games such as Alan Wake, Quantum Break and Control. CrossfireX was set to release in 2020, but has been delayed. It is now set to release in 2021.

”The Crossfire team is finalizing the single-player operations for Smilegate’s CrossfireX and Crossfire HD. With both of these games launching in 2021, this is a significant year for Crossfire.” Remedy Entertainment CEO, Tero Virtala

Meanwhile there are rumours Remedy Entertainment is working on Alan Wake 2. Back in 2019 the studio reacquired the publishing rights for the intellectual property. The rumours are that the game Remedy is making in collaboration with Epic games is set to be Alan Wake 2.
