Conker’s Bad Furday turns 20 years old today

Celebration! The favorite squirrel in gaming is throwing a party today. Today, 20 years ago, Conker’s Bad Furday was released for Nintendo 64. It wasn’t the first Conker game, and surely not the first appearance of this loud squirrel. Conker first showed up for the first time in 1997 and was included in Diddy Kong Racing for the Nintendo 64.

Conker’s Bad Furday was released in 2001 where the squirrel had transformed from a character aimed at a young audience to a loud, swearing and violent creature. In 2005 Microsoft released a remake of Bad Furday named Conker: Live & Reloaded.

Rare’s composer Robin Beanland today posted a funny little video celebrating the 20 year anniversary of Bad Furday.
