Yesterday Rare has shared new information regarding the ongoing development of Sea of Thieves. Last month the team has released the first Season of Sea of Thieves. During that month the game had the highest amount of monthly active user ever and the highest amount of concurrent users since launch. This means Sea of Thieves is more popular than ever. The game keeps showing up in the Steam global top seller lists and seems to be one of those perfect lockdown get together games.
To support the ever growing fanbase of this pirate adventure, Rare has had to increase their team size for the game. Not only is the team at Rare working on the game larger than it has ever been, Rare has also been actively looking for development studios to work with on the game. One of those type of studios which has previously worked on Sea of Thieves is Dlala Studios, now known for their work on Battletoads in cooperation with Rare.
Besides Sea of Thieves is also working on Everwild, a brand new intellectual property.
