Xbox encourages gamers to game with their grandparents with Xbox: Beyond Generations

It’s a strange time. Many people around the world are locked in their homes only going out for a walk or for groceries. This means people across all ages miss the daily or weekly contact with other people. To help prevent loneliness among young and old Microsoft have started a campaign to get gamers to engage with their family. The campaign includes two advertisements and a website. This website shows people how to rebox their old Xbox consoles to ship to their elderly relatives.

Microsoft is working together with various charities around the globe dedicated to work with elderly people. In the UK this partnership has been formed with Age UK.

As part of our Xbox: Beyond Generations commitment, we’ve partnered with Age UK to shed light on some of the incredible ways they are working to help support older people who need it most, especially those with no one else to turn to. If you are able to, there are multiple ways you can support their efforts, through becoming an Age UK Digital Buddy, or even offering a donation to support their impactful work.
