Microsoft has made a lot of money again. Xbox content and services up 40%, hardware up 86% Year on Year

Every quarter the world can witness large corporations making money hand over fist. And even in a pandemic this is no different. Microsoft has today shown their results and it’s been an amazing year for the company in Redmond. Revenue for the quarter, that’s three months, increased 17% to 43.1 billion dollars. Net income was 15.5 billion dollars. That’s two Bethesda’s in three months.

Xbox was one of the highlights of the Microsoft earnings report. Xbox content and services revenue increased 40% and Xbox hardware increased 86% Year on Year. This includes the launch of Xbox Series X and S. Overall gaming revenue was up 51%.

In an hour from now CEO Satya Nadella and CFO Amy Hood will be holding their earnings call for shareholders. Hopefully we’ll get more information on the strength of Game Pass, as rumours are Microsoft has passed the 20 million subscribers mark.
