Halo Infinite: 343 is “actively drafting plans for multiple flights for later this year”

Halo Infinite is planned to launch later this year after being delayed out of November 2020. One of the biggest remaining questions concerning Infinite is whether or not players will be able to participate in a Beta, or what 343 refers to as “flights.” This was hinted at as a possibility in 343’s December Halo Infinite update.

In a recent Windows Central article discussing the redemption story of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, there were more details about fighting programs for Halo Infinite. In the article, author Matt Brown states that…

These learnings all translate to Halo Infinite, with 343 Industries now actively drafting plans for multiple flights for later this year. The studio plans to leverage the same opt-in process, steadily expanding throughout 2021, and informing its final decisions headed into launch.

This is great news to hear. The launch for Infinite will need to go as smoothly as possible, and having multiple tests prior to release should ensure Infinite launches as smoothly as possible.
