Could a Ubisoft subscription service be coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate? Rumours say; possibly

This year Microsoft and EA created an interesting partnership by adding EA Play to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This means subscribers to Microsoft’s highest tier Game Pass subscription service can play the Electronic Arts back catalogue of games. But, some rumours suggest this isn’t enough for Microsoft. New rumours point to Ubisoft+ or some other subscription service from Ubisoft could be coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate too. Ubisoft+ is more a extensive service than EA Play, as it also offers day one games such as Immortals: Fenyx Rising.

Among people speculating about this is Jez Corden, editor at Windows Central, who even says there is a ‘strong chance’. First step would be the arrival of Ubisoft+ on Xbox. Period. As of now the service is only available on PC, Stadia and Luna.

We’ll have to see if there’s any truth to this, but the arrival of Ubisoft+ on Xbox consoles seems imminent, as it would be the next step for the publishers plans for their subscription service.

For what it’s worth, we’d heard similar rumours back before the game awards, though we could not verify it. We did include the Ubisoft+ prediction regardless though, because we’ve heard that a deal with Ubisoft is on the horizon.

For now, let’s wait and see.
