Xbox recently announced that 70% of people who have purchased a new Xbox console this November are attached to a Game Pass membership. This is an incredible attachment rate and lines up with Xbox’s goal to turn every Xbox customer into a Game Pass subscriber.
Xbox also announced that more new Xbox customers purchased the Xbox Series S than the Series X. Meaning, customers who purchased the Series S were more likely to have never owned an Xbox before. This also lines up with the goal of the Series S for Xbox. To entice new customers to join the Xbox ecosystem for a low, affordable price.
This launch for Xbox seems to have been a successful one. They’ll have to continue to entice customers after the launch demand if they want to keep the momentum throughout the generation.
