Xbox revenue surges as console generation is coming to an end

Today Microsoft held its Q4 2020 financial earnings report. It has been a couple of very good months for the Xbox division and Microsoft as a whole. In the fourth quarter of the fiscal year the company has beaten analyst predictions, reporting 38 billion dollars in revenue. The Xbox division 64% revenue growth the past quarter due to COVID-19.

  • Xbox content and services up 65%
  • Xbox hardware revenue up 49%

This 64% revenue growth means the division has made 1.3 billion dollars more than previously.

Over the entire financial year, Microsoft had 143 billion dollars in revenue, with 53 billion dollars in operating income.
