New No Man’s Sky content released – 1 million new players by virtue of Xbox Game Pass

Hello Games has written a blog post on Xbox Wire today, sharing information on No Man’s Sky.

Today Hello Games is releasing new content for No Man’s Sky. It’s called Desolation. It increases space exploration, by adding Freighters. These mysterious ships should not be visited alone, but instead be ventured into with a group.

Besides this addition, No Man’s Sky combat is also being improved with this update. You can see the trailer below.

Sean Murray, co-founder of Hello Games, had this to say regarding the launch on Xbox One and recently Xbox Game Pass and Windows 10:

Last month we welcomed over a million new players into No Man’s Sky by virtue of Xbox Game Pass and the Windows 10 release. This, together with our cross-play update, meant that we are seeing some of our biggest ever in-game numbers, all playing together regardless of their gaming platform. It is genuinely humbling, nearly two years after first releasing on Xbox One, that there are still so many people interested in exploring our universe.

You can find the game in the store here.
