Microsoft Flight Simulator launching on August 18th – pre-orders up

The flight simulator by Asobo Studios and Xbox Game Studios is set to launch on August 18th. For now it’s a PC only title, but an Xbox release is confirmed to happen. You can pre-order the game on the Microsoft Store, or pre-load the game via Xbox Game Pass for PC. Check out their official website for more information.

There seems to be no sign on a Steam release yet, but luckily Windows Central has asked this question.

”Microsoft is only talking its Windows 10 release through its integrated storefront at launch but tells Windows Central it hasn’t ruled out other platforms like Steam for a later date. “We have nothing new to share regarding additional versions, but our goal is to have ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator’ available on as many platforms as possible,” a Microsoft spokesperson said.

The game will launch with three different editions. The Standard Edition, the Deluxe Edition and the Premium Deluxe edition. The latter one will include 30 planes and 40 handcrafted airports. While the standard edition will include 30 handcrafted airports and planes.
