Microsoft seems to be discontinuing Xbox One consoles ahead of next-gen launch

It seems Microsoft is emptying shelves ahead of the next generation of consoles. On Reddit, a user allegedly working at Target, says they aren’t receiving any new Xbox One consoles. Meanwhile, many retailers have been running out of Xbox One consoles in the past few weeks.

The Reddit post

While it is surely possible Microsoft is emptying shelves, chances are they weren’t planning on selling this many consoles this year. But due to COVID-19 people have been hoarding game consoles.

It could be there have been production problems for the Xbox One S and Xbox One X consoles. We’ll have to see if they get back in stock.
