Xbox Series X was originally scheduled to launch in August, Lockhart in October, according to @bdsams

According to Microsoft and Xbox insider Brad Sams, the Xbox Series X and Lockhart were originally scheduled to launch much sooner than anyone might have realized. Sams said in a recent article that “the original launch plans for Lockhart was that it was going to be released in Mid-October. That may not sound all that surprising, but Anaconda, the series X, was going to release in late August; clearly plans have been adjusted based on COVID-19.”

Clearly those plans have been adjusted, and no one knows exactly when Microsoft is planning to release the consoles now. We have long speculated that Xbox was planning to release early, however, so this news isn’t entirely surprising. We will have to wait and see over the coming months what Microsoft’s new launch plans are.
