New character and cutscene revealed for Tell Me Why

At X019 Microsoft and Dontnod Entertainment announced Tell Me Why, a story about two siblings going back to their childhood to find out what exactly happened. One of the protagonists is a trans, which doesn’t happen in gaming very often. This weekend Dontnod has shared more information on the game during pride week. We’ve learned about a new character, the Steam page went live and this weekend a new cutscene was released.

This week Dontnod revealed Michael Abila, a character in the game. He’s Alyson’s best friend and co-worker. He’s a queer Tlingit man who is planning to leave Delos Crossing, the town the game is set in.

Today Dontnod revealed a cutscene from the start of the game. This is where Alyson meets Tyler again after 10 years. It is unclear what has happened in these past 10 years, but it seems we’ll find out when playing the game.

Tell Me Why is set to release this summer. It is an episodic game with three episodes releasing in short sequence after each other.

It’s coming to Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam. And Xbox Game Pass for console and PC.
