Today we’ve seen a blowout of information regarding Gears Tactics. People were already wondering when Microsoft would show more about this tactical isometric game set in the Gears of War universe. It seems, today was that day.
We’ve seen glowing previews from Windows Central and PC Gamer. We learned more about the story in Gears Tactics. The story follows Gabe Diaz, father of Kait Diaz, 12 years before the events of Gears of War 1.
The game contains a more fast paced XCOM-style type of gameplay, with boss fights, aesthetically pleasing cinematics and loads of story. If you are a fan of the Gears of War universe, this is a game you can’t pass it seems. You’ll learn more about the world while the game fills in a few gaps in the storytelling from the regular Gears of War games. Interested in the story? The book Gears of War: Bloodlines from Jason M. Gears Tactics is coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC and Steam on April 28th. An Xbox release is coming too, but no date has been announced for that as of yet.
