XCloud Game Streaming coming to Windows 10 PC

Tom Warren via The Verge just shared our first glimpse at xCloud on PC.

According to Microsoft, they’ve started testing xCloud, the new Xbox game streaming service for Windows 10 PCs earlier this week, by releasing the latest preview version for PC to all Microsoft employees.

Now, for some reason, this is a separate application for Windows 10, and not part of the current Xbox (beta) app being used for Xbox Game Pass for PC.

How many Xbox apps do we realistically need?

Streaming quality for this preview is limited to 720p, but apparently 1080p is “just around the corner”. Exciting times if you’re on PC and have always wanted to play some Xbox classics.

Microsoft has committed to launching xCloud later this year.
