Today, The Coalition has announced its teaming up with tabletop games publisher Steamforged Games. Together, they’ll bring the Gears of War universe to the tabletop (or the floor.. or a bed..) with a real cardgame.
The card game will debut at the Gears 5 Esports Mexico City Major from March 6th to March 8th. Steamforged Games will do a demo of the game and attendees and visitors of the Major will be able to participate in promotional special card giveaways.
The game is designed by Tyler Bielman, who has worked on Magic: The Gathering, in collaboration with Steamforged Games.
The game is said to be a story-driven campaign card game, with narrative choices and different decks.
