343i Releases January 2020 MCC Development Update

The fine folks at 343 Industries have recently posted another MCC development update and there is a lot to digest.

The first item covered is the patch notes for today’s update. The fixes and updates range from new matchmaking content to bug fixes. Some notable improvements include improved player reporting for identifying potential anti-cheat violations, fixing a game crash issue related to player stats and leaderboards, and correcting an issue where the main menu would not load properly after moving past the title screen.

The recent update also includes playlist changes as well. Social 1v1, 4v4, and 8v8 have all received changes. The magnum has been removed as the secondary weapon in Halo: Reach Social 1v1. Team Slayer has been replaced with “Precision Slayer” and “Auto Slayer” options. King of the Hill in Halo: Reach Social 8v8 will see the hill rotation timer reduced from 120 seconds to 90 seconds while the score to win will go from 250 points to 200 points.

On top of providing game update details, 343i also shared some information on Forge, upcoming events, future updates, and the rest of MCC PC ports. You can read all the juicy details here.
