Halo: Combat Evolved for MCC Beta will take place “after the holiday”

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is slowly but surely coming to PC. They are releasing each game individually and Halo: Reach will finally arrive on both Xbox and PC on December 3rd.

Once Reach comes out, it won’t be too much longer until we see the next chronological game in the series story wise, Halo: Combat Evolved.

343 community director Brian Jarrard told PCGamesN that “Once Reach comes out next month, after the holiday, we will start to reset, and we’ll start to flight Halo CE,” community director Brian Jarrard tells us. “We’re just going to keep going down the road until we fill out the rest of the collection.”

Jarrard also noted that “it’s been more challenging than we initially thought, and it’s taken longer than we expected. But it is important that we don’t cut corners.”

When Halo: The Master Chief Collection was announced earlier this year, it was assumed by many that the game would be completely ready sooner rather than later.

We are closing in on 2020 and Halo: Reach is the only game that will have been ported to PC since the announcement 8 months ago.

Halo MCC is famous for its disastrous launch on console, so it makes sense that 343 would want to take their time to make sure they get it right, but the wait has been pretty long.

With this much time, we should expect things to go smoothly, and hopefully the game is what fans expect when it’s finally completely out.
