After only a couple of months since the acquisition by Microsoft, the vice president of business development at Double Fine, Greg Rice, has left the studio. VGC found a confirmation by Rice himself, on his Twitter page, mentioning his departure. He has been at the studio for almost 10 years.
Double Fine Presents is the publishing arm of Double Fine Entertainment, responsible for publishing independent games
On Twitter, Rice says:
I’m so proud of all the amazing things we’ve accomplished and really really sad to leave, but am comforted to be leaving them in a great spot with Psychonauts 2 looking amazing and the Microsoft sale ensuring many any more of the insanely creative games you’ve come to expect.

After the acquisition Tim Schafer, head of Double Fine, was asked about the publishing arm of the company. It now seems some things are changing over there. It is still unclear what the future for Double Fine Presents, which is the name of their indie publishing department, is going to be.
For now, we can only speculate.
