Microsoft reveals new parental controls for Xbox and Windows, enables them to set limits per app or game

Today Microsoft revealed a new set of features coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 which allows parents to further manage the way their children engage with their devices. With this new set of features parental controls allow parents to limit the time that can be spend on certain apps or games.

Microsoft introduces the new features with the following text:

Introducing App and Game Limits for Family Settings

The new school year is well under way, and as families continue to balance homework and after school activities with screen time, Xbox is here to help. We’re continuously studying ways to improve children’s safety online and to give you, their parents or guardians, the tools to help ensure their wellbeing throughout their online interactions in the digital world.

The screenshot above shows the new set of parental controls. With these new features parents will be able to manage the digital behaviour of their children as they see fit.
