Mixer co-founder is leaving Microsoft, joins GamerGoo

Mixer co-founder James J. Boehm is leaving Microsoft. Boehm founded the streaming service, then called Beam, in 2016 together with Matt Salsamendi. Only 6 months after the creation of Beam the service was acquired by Microsoft for an undisclosed sum.

Boehm worked with Matt Salsamendi for over 5 years. Salsamendi is still at Microsoft and Mixer.

Boehm has been appointed to the board of GamerGoo, a company that makes fluids to decrease the sweatiness of hands. Yes, that’s a real product.
