The at E3 2017 announced Super Duper Graphics Pack for Minecraft which improved textures and lightning for the game has now been officially cancelled. It had been quiet around the visual overhaul of the sandbox game for months. Today Mojang has announced it has stopped developing the graphics pack.

In a blogpost on Minecraft.net the team behind the blocky survival game has explained their decision to cancel the pack.
We realise this is disappointing to some of you – there was a lot of enthusiasm for Super Duper from inside and outside the studio – but unfortunately, we aren’t happy with how the pack performed across devices. For this reason, we’re stopping development on the pack, and looking into other ways for you to experience Minecraft with a new look.
