Age of Empires Definitive Edition multiplayer beta is live

This year Microsoft announced it is putting more games on Valve’s PC gaming client Steam. One of the first games coming to Steam from Xbox Game Studios is Age of Empire: Definitive Edition. This game released early 2018, but now has an updated multiplayer which Microsoft would like to test with insiders before the game launches on Steam later this month. It is still unclear if this release will coincide with a possible Game Pass release.

The launch trailer for the original version of Age of Empires Definitive Edition, launched in 2018.

Today, Microsoft has launched the beta for select insiders. The insider program works on a first-come-first-serve basis.

We’re expecting more Age of Empires news at Gamescom. This fall the definitive edition of Age of Empires 2 will launch. And more information of Age of Empires 4 will either come at Gamescom or X019 in London.
