Wasteland 3 alpha landing on August 21 for Fig pledgers

Wasteland 3 by inXile Entertainment, the new RPG in the Wasteland series, has been backed by Fig.com backers. This is a website similar to Kickstarter, where people can pledge a certain amount of money to support the development of the game. One of these pledge options was the First Acces tier, which could be obtained with a $75 or higher pledge. Today inXile revealed people who’ve pledged this amount can start with the alpha launching August 21st.

Alpha players are allowed to take screenshots, make videos or stream the game on Mixer or Twitch.

People who haven’t backed the First Acces pledge, but are interested in taking an early look at the game and have pledged a lower amount will have to wait for the Early Access version. This version will replace the Alpha on Steam before launch.

The alpha is focused on combat first and foremost. So people looking for the deep RPG decision making inXile is known for will have to wait till the full release.

Wasteland 3 is set to launch in 2020. The game will launch on Windows, Linux, Mac, PS4 and Xbox One. And the game will launch on Game Pass for Xbox One and Windows 10.
