As The Coalition seems to be ready to talk more about the Gears of War movie, which is supposedly under production at Universal, Dave Bautista has – once again – told the whole world he’d like to be in the movie. As Marcus Fenix. Previously, Bautista told GameSpot the Gears of War movie would be his ”dream role” and that he’s been pursuing the role for years now.
Last month Rod Fergusson, studio head at The Coalition, has told IGN that the Gears movie is going to be set in an alternate reality. This means the movie will not be game canon. If this decreases the chance of Marcus Fenix being in the movie is still unknown. Just don’t tell Bautista about it.
As of now, most details on the movie are still unknown. Rumors are the film is being written by F. Scott Frazier, known for xXx: Return of Xander Cage. So we’ll have to wait and see if Bautista can make his dream become a reality. Meanwhile there are 3 Gears of War games requiring the most attention right now.
